Our History

Eastover Volunteer Fire Department was est.in 1956 at 4021 Dunn Road it covered an aera known as Flea Hill of approximately 11.34 square miles with approximately a population of 800 residents. Its primarily a proud farming community with the Cape Fear River bordering its west and its main highway being Hwy 301 running north and south taking travelers into and out of Fayetteville. In 1978 the fire station was relocated to its now location and approximately 1,075 in population.  Since then, its area has grown adding Interstate 95 and many new commercial properties. Its population has grown to approximately 3,762
